WIM – complexes in Ukraine

A few years ago, WIM complexes on Ukrainian roads were something new and incomprehensible, but now every carrier needs to familiarize himself with possible fines and violations in detail.
In October 2022, Ukrtransbezpeka automatically issued more than 20 fines to Ukrainian carriers who tried to challenge them in court, but the cases were lost, so it became necessary to pay fines in the total amount of about 350,000 UAH. In Zhytomyr Oblast, a truck driver tried to hide the registration number while passing weight control, but despite the automaticity of the system, in the absence of a number, inspectors of “Ukrtransbezpeka” and the National Police quickly caught the violator and issued a fine of UAH 51,000.
Therefore, we would like to remind all carriers and logistics companies to strictly follow the rules of dimensions and weight norms and not to try to violate them.
