“Ah, the road dust and fog,

 Frost alarm, but the steppe bur’yan … “

        These are the words of a song written by Anatoly Novikov in 1945, in our time, have a slightly different meaning. As in 2015 Ukraine ranks 132 out of 140 possible on the quality of the road surface. We are on a par with countries such as Mauritania, Myanmar and Mozambique. But the leaders of the quality of road surfaces are Emirates, the Netherlands and Singapore.

    Of the 160 thousand kilometers of roads Ukrainian nearly 80 thousand kilometers are potentially dangerous for drivers and their passengers. Every two and a half minutes on our roads comes a traffic accident. And every two hours killed one person. Most “emergency” areas are: Kiev, Odessa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv. The safest is: Ternopil, Kirovograd, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Volyn.

      “In Ukraine, all the roads dangerous, because they are not” – so meet the drivers and truckers. And thank and remember “not angry, quiet word” “Ukravtodor”, which in turn blames the winter as the road surface, extreme temperatures, above-standard load on the roadway and .t.d.

     The cost of construction of roads in Ukraine and the EU is characterized not so much, but the quality leaves much to be desired. For comparison, in Ukraine, a square meter of finished road is worth about 107 euros in Poland – 132 euros. In Europe, the company’s contractors provide a warranty period of operation of roads up to 10 years in the case of failure of the pavement repair his own expense. In Ukraine, the warranty period is given on the operation of the road for three years. Subject to the rights of its operation.

    I hope that our roads in the near future will be pleased with car owners, a little. To do this we need to reform the structure of “Ukravtodor.” Amend the legislation to control the flow of funds and the quality of their work. And then the weather “suddenly” will not cause as much damage Ukrainian highways, as it happens with us every year when the roads returned to the state “immediately after the Great Patriotic War.”
