Polish Carriers Prepare to Block the “Dorohusk – Yahodyn” Border Crossing Again

Starting from May 12, 2025, Polish freight carriers are planning another protest at the “Dorohusk – Yahodyn” border checkpoint. This information was reported by Suspilne, citing the protest organizers.

What is Causing the Protest

The main reason behind the dissatisfaction of the carriers is the implementation of an electronic queuing system on the Ukrainian side. They claim that the system significantly complicates border crossings and causes long delays, which negatively affects their operations. In addition, the carriers are demanding the reinstatement of the permit system for Ukrainian transport companies, which was canceled by the EU in 2022.

Potential Consequences of the Blockade

If the protest begins, serious disruptions to freight traffic are expected. This may lead to interruptions in logistics, which in turn could negatively impact economic relations between Ukraine and Poland.
