The Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure (MID), together with key associations and leading carriers, announces the launch of the Assistance Headquarters for Ukrainian drivers who find themselves in difficult circumstances due to events at the border. This initiative is informed by Logist.Today based on a message from the MIU.
Since November 19, the Headquarters has been operating at three border crossing points where protests continue. To effectively coordinate and provide the necessary assistance, each of these checkpoints has a designated employee who interacts with drivers and ensures the collection of needs. The Ukrtransbezopasnosti hotline (+38-(067)-120-04-83) also operates around the clock to quickly resolve issues.
From November 20, the Headquarters operations team at the border is ready to provide 11,000 kits with food, water and necessary medicines. It is also possible to indicate additional needs through a special Google form.
The MIU, together with the departments, pledged to assist in the evacuation of drivers to the territory of Ukraine, if necessary. The work of the Headquarters will continue until stability of traffic through checkpoints is restored and the border is unblocked. MIU and its logistics partners express deep concern for the well-being of drivers and are committed to providing the highest level of assistance in these difficult circumstances.
