Farmers’ protests in the Lublin Voivodeship impressed the general public with their scale and endurance. Starting from February 9, 2024 and continuing until March 10, 2024, farmers’ protests have spread across various districts and cities in the region. In Tomashiv district, in the village of Hrebinne, protesters gathered at 9 in the morning and continued their action until 5:00 p.m. The number of participants is about 100 people. In the Hrubeshiv district, the city of Hrubeshiv, protests began on February 9 and will continue until March 2. About 300 farmers are expected to gather here. Protests will also take place in the cities of Zosyn and Dolgobychiv in the Hrubeshiv District from February 12 to February 26. It is planned to gather about 100 people in Zosyn, and about 200 people in Dolgobychiv. Another active center of protests is the village of Dorogusk, Khelm district, where from February 9 to March 9, farmers will protest from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., while the number of participants ranged from 30 to 40 people. Protests also became a part of life in the Radzin County, in the village of Borky, where from February 9 to March 10, about 100-150 farmers expressed their disagreement with the government’s policy from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Additional protests took place in Mendzizhets-Podlyaskie (Biała County), gathering about 40 people, and one more time in Hrebinny (Tomaszów County) with the participation of 200 people. According to preliminary information on February 8, 2024, 21 farmers’ protests were registered with a total number of participants of about 2010 people. This indicates the seriousness and scale of the movement. The Lublin Voivodeship became a place of intense struggle of farming groups for their rights and interests.
