The Electronic Border Crossing Queue (E-queue) has started working at 16 checkpoints (CP), the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine (MIU) reports, according to information received from the Ministry’s notification.
As of the morning of May 15, the largest electronic queue consisted of more than 2,800 trucks at the Rava-Ruska – Grebinne checkpoint. Also, about 2,000 vehicles are waiting to cross the border through the checkpoints “Krakowec – Korchova” and “Yagodin – Dorogusk”. All trucks cross the border only according to the entry in the electronic queue. In general, more than 12 thousand trucks are expected to cross the border in the online queue.
“From the beginning of the launch of the service, we had checkpoints where electronic queue traffic started immediately, and those where it was worth waiting for the end of the live queue that had accumulated earlier. On the weekend, the live queue ended at “Rava-Ruska” and “Krakivka”, thus all trucks cross the border only in accordance with the electronic system. During the week of the service’s operation, 9,500 trucks left Ukraine only through the E-queue, and almost 15,000 drivers registered in the system,” said Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure.
We would like to remind you that from December of last year to May 15 of this year, the pilot project of E-queue has been successfully operating at the checkpoint “Yagodin – Dorogusk”. During this period, 96,078 trucks crossed the border using electronic records, of which 88,000 were registered at the Yagodin checkpoint. In addition, during this time, more than 38 thousand drivers have already registered in the system.
The introduction of the E-queue for border crossing has become an effective solution for international transportation, reducing waiting time and complications in queues. This electronic system provides an opportunity for drivers and cargo owners to register in advance and receive a virtual number in the queue, which allows them to accurately plan the time of crossing the border and ensures efficient organization of international transportation.
Thanks to the E-queue, the speed and transparency of the customs clearance process has significantly increased, as well as the risk of errors and conflicts associated with manually formed queues has decreased. In addition, E-queue registration helps to improve the collection of statistical data on border crossings, which allows the government and logistics companies to analyze and improve the processes of international transportation.
As a result of the implementation of the E-queue, international transportation has become more efficient and predictable. This ensures an increase in the quality of logistics services, a reduction in transportation costs, and an easier life for drivers and cargo owners crossing the border. The introduction of the E-queue is an important step in the modernization of international logistics and contributes to the improvement of connections between countries, ensuring a faster, more convenient and seamless border crossing for trucks and vehicles.
