Creation of a Logistics Bridge between Ukraine and Romania: Plans and Prospects

Together with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport of Romania, Ionel Skriostianu, and the Executive Director of the Regional Office of the Ukraine-Romania Border Crossing, Cesar Grozavu, the concept of the master plan for the creation of a logistics network between Ukraine and Romania was presented. This was announced by the head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Mustafa Nayem.

The network development strategy was developed in collaboration with Romanian counterparts, and both governments endorsed the plan back on October 18, 2023. According to Mustafa Nayem, at the meeting, five priority checkpoints (CPs) were determined, on which work will be carried out. Among them is Porubne — Siret, which is one of the largest Ukrainian checkpoints. The parties also discussed plans for the development of border infrastructure, technological integration and their modernization. The plans also envisage the construction of new checkpoints “Bila Tserkva – Sigetu Marmacija” and “Bila Krynytsia – Klimeuc”.
