The situation on the Ukrainian-Polish border again attracts public attention. From the end of September 2024, Polish farmers announced the closure of the Medica checkpoint. This decision was the result of farmers’ dissatisfaction with the terms of import of Ukrainian agricultural products, which, in their opinion, negatively affects the Polish market.
This creates significant difficulties for logistics companies, as the Medica checkpoint is one of the most important for road transport between Ukraine and Poland. The closure, which is planned to continue until the end of 2024, could lead to significant delays in the delivery of goods, increased transport costs and changes in routes.
Importantly, other checkpoints such as Kraków, Jagodyn or Rawa-Ruska may become alternative routes, but an increase in the load on these customs should be expected, which may also affect the speed of service.
Our logistics company is actively monitoring the situation and is ready to offer optimal solutions for our customers. We develop alternative routes to minimize the impact of delays on the delivery of goods and ensure the stable operation of supply chains even in difficult conditions.
