Transportation of sand and gravel is an important part of the provision of construction work. Timely delivery is especially important in the performance of such transport operations, since materials often come in handy from the wheels.
When delivering construction materials directly to the facility, the only option is to order the transportation of rubble by road. With large volumes and delivery over long distances, the rational solution is the transport of road metal crushed stone. For this purpose special freight cars are used – dumpcars. These are platforms with a reinforced bottom and a special hydraulic system that provides a lateral slope of the platform for dumping bulk materials.

For transporting sand, special containers can also be used. This is especially useful in cases where intermodal transportation is necessary, and the mining company has railroad access roads and a loading platform.
Today, the practice of moving construction sand in special soft containers – big bags is actively developing. They protect sand from the rain, minimize losses during transportation and can be delivered directly to the construction site by any type of transport. The largest big-bags can hold up to one and a half tons of sand and can be used many times.
