Booking a whole truck does not make financial sense for a few boxes or pallets of goods. Much of the space would be empty, but you would pay for the entire vehicle. That is when groupage transport makes sense. Different customers’ goods share the trip, and everyone pays only for their part of the delivery.
At Neolit, we arrange these shipments in Ukraine and abroad. We help get the goods ready for the journey and consolidate them at a warehouse. The work also covers completing the documents and arranging delivery to the recipient. This is an option for companies moving small quantities of goods.
A shop has ordered a new clothing collection. The goods may be spare parts a manufacturer sends to dealers, or stock a distributor replenishes in several cities. Either way, the batches can be small and still need to be delivered on time.
Groupage is useful when:
Shared delivery is not always the quickest way. The shipments have to be brought together and prepared for dispatch. If the goods are urgent or take up most of the load space, we can offer road freight with a dedicated truck.
Groupage cargo is consolidated at a warehouse. Goods from different senders arrive there to be received, checked, labelled and prepared for the shared journey.
On receipt, we check the number of packages against the documents and inspect the outer packaging. We also verify recipient details so orders do not get mixed up when they are distributed.
Goods are sorted by destination and made ready for loading at the warehouse. This involves warehousing, including receipt, storage and handling of the products.
Once grouped, the goods go into the vehicle. Every package must be clearly labelled for its recipient.
Clothing, spare parts, household goods and other products can share a vehicle. Not all products are suitable for loading side by side. Goods with a strong smell, for instance, are best transported separately from products that absorb odours easily.
Before loading, we check:
Heavy boxes must not press down on lighter or fragile goods. If factory packaging offers too little protection, we discuss with the client how to prepare the products for the trip.
Our Ukrainian deliveries run between cities, warehouses, production sites and retail outlets. Goods can be collected from the supplier for delivery to a warehouse or the address agreed with you. We confirm the route and timings for each order.
Our international routes cover EU countries, the Baltic region, China, Vietnam and other available destinations. International groupage freight may include consolidation, transshipment and further distribution of the goods in the destination country.
We offer freight delivery to Europe as well as shipments in the reverse direction. We organise collection of the goods, their transport and handover to the recipient.
Before sending a groupage shipment abroad from Ukraine, prepare the customs documents. What you need depends on the product type, destination country and delivery terms.
When a request for groupage transportation comes in, we check the delivery options available. We then agree the arrangements with the client. On some long-distance routes, sea freight is an option. This includes LCL, where goods from several senders share one container.

The distance alone will not tell you when the shipment will arrive. Waiting for dispatch, transfers en route and border crossings affect it too.
The price for groupage delivery can vary even between shipments of the same weight. Dimensions, the route and additional work can change it.
When calculating the price, we consider:
Light boxes of bulky products can use more space than a heavy, compact pallet. To calculate the price, we need the dimensions of the packages as well as how much they weigh.

Yes, we can bring goods from different suppliers together at one warehouse. We agree each sender’s collection address and package count. Once the goods are received, we prepare the combined load for dispatch.
Commercial documents show the product names, quantities and values. On an international shipment, we also verify whether the goods have been assigned the right classification codes. The product type and customs procedure determine which documents are required. We can help you prepare the set if needed.
Yes. We can look at a route with several unloading points. List every address and the quantity for each recipient in the request. We’ll check whether the deliveries can be arranged and include the extra stops in the quote.
Yes. A strong box or crate can sometimes travel as an individual package, without a pallet. The packaging has to protect what is inside during loading and the trip. We look at the weight, dimensions and type of goods before deciding if this will work.
Let us know the new package count and the shipment’s weight and dimensions. We check available room in the planned vehicle, along with any changes needed in the documents. If the volume has increased, the delivery cost may change. It is best to tell us about these changes before handing the goods over to the warehouse.
