Transport of a CAT 330 crawler excavator.

Specialists from Neolit ​​Logistics Group successfully transported a piece of heavy specialized machinery—a Caterpillar (CAT) 330 crawler excavator. The project’s primary objective was the safe delivery of this heavy machine, taking into account its substantial width and height.

What was done:

Transport solution: To transport the 35.5-tonne excavator, we utilized a heavy-duty, multi-axle low-loader trailer. The specialized low-profile platform made it possible to reduce the overall height of the vehicle combination, ensuring safe clearance under bridges, overpasses, and power lines.

Logistics and permits: Given the vehicle’s width of 3.2 meters, travel on public roads required mandatory authorization. The company’s logistics team devised an optimal route that bypassed narrow sections and promptly secured the necessary special permits for the oversized vehicle.

Safety and Securing: The excavator drove onto the low-loader under its own power. To ensure the heavy machinery remained completely immobilized during transit, it was rigidly secured to the platform using high-strength chain lashings. The boom and bucket were also lowered and locked in place for safe transport.

The equipment was delivered to the customer’s site exactly on schedule and in perfect condition.
