Romanian carriers against the Mobility Package during the energy crisis

The war in Ukraine led to significant shifts in most sectors of the economy, one of which was the energy crisis in Europe. But even in modern realities, the Mobility Package must be implemented, although it is not rational at all.
We will remind you that the “Mobility Package” is a requirement for transport companies of the European Union, according to which drivers must return home or to the country where their company is registered every four weeks.

And in conditions of rising fuel prices, the final costs of carriers increase by 10-20% on average.
Therefore, the National Union of Carriers of Romania demands the cancellation of this rule, which affects both the work of carriers and the entire ecology (during extra trips, emissions can increase by 2.9 million tons).
