From Point A to Point B: How Neolit ​​Logistics Transported a 27-Ton Liebherr PR-744 Across Ukraine

Transporting heavy construction equipment is always a logistics challenge, where standard solutions fail. Recently, the Neolit ​​Logistics team successfully completed a complex project: transporting a Liebherr PR-744 crawler truck across Ukraine. Despite the significant weight and non-standard dimensions of the cargo, the project was completed strictly within the agreed-upon deadline.

What is the complexity of the project?

The LGP (Low Ground Pressure) bulldozer modification is designed to work on soft and swampy soils, which is why the machine has an extended wheelbase and extra-wide tracks.

When planning the trip, Neolit ​​engineers took into account the following critical parameters:

Weight: 27.5 tons

Width: 3.6 meters

Height: 3.44 meters

Total length: 10.52 meters (base part 6 m + protruding attachments 4.52 m).

Such dimensions exclude random routes. An error of even a few centimeters when measuring the height of the overpass or the width of the passage could block traffic on the route.

The turnkey delivery organization from Neolit ​​Logistics included four main steps:

1. Development of a special route: Logisticians studied the road infrastructure in detail along the entire route, excluding sections with limited bridge capacity and low arches.
2. Selection of special transport: A low-frame trawl with high load capacity and front/rear entry was used for transportation, so that heavy equipment could climb onto the platform independently.
3. Reliable fixation: The Liebherr body and attachments are multi-point secured with high-strength steel chains to prevent the center of gravity from shifting on bends and slopes.
4. Legal support: The team promptly issued the entire package of permits for the movement of heavy and oversized vehicles on public roads in Ukraine.
