Low loader transportation is in demand in Ukraine, particularly because the agricultural sector needs to move large agricultural machinery. This type of transport is also used for road construction and building machinery, industrial equipment, and other oversized or heavy objects.
For each shipment, Neolit specialists select the platform type, plan the route, agree on the loading method, and prepare the securing scheme. The need for permits and escort is determined based on the weight, dimensions, and design of the specific cargo.
We arrange lowbed transportation for machinery and equipment that is difficult or impossible to carry in a standard truck body. Open platforms are used to transport:
Before selecting the vehicle, we record the exact weight, length, width, and height, as well as the configuration and support points. This information is needed to determine how the cargo should be positioned on the platform.
If the loaded vehicle combination exceeds the permitted limits, the requirements applicable to oversized cargo transport are followed.
To order lowbed transport services, the manager needs the name and specifications of the cargo, its weight and dimensions, the addresses, preferred date, and loading method.
The platform is selected based on its permitted load, working length and height, weight distribution, and support points. We also consider the overall dimensions of the vehicle combination after the machinery has been loaded.
If the main factor is the cargo weight, we also consider the requirements for heavy cargo transport.
A lowbed platform has a low loading height. This helps reduce the overall height of the vehicle combination and makes it easier to position machinery. Platforms without side walls also make it easier to carry wide objects.
A telescopic platform can be extended, so it is considered for long equipment and structures. Lowbed transport is suitable when the length, weight, and support points of the cargo match the capabilities of the selected platform.
The loading method depends on the design, weight, and dimensions of the machinery, as well as the equipment available at the site. Before work begins, we agree on the platform position, sequence of operations, and any auxiliary equipment required.
Once the cargo is positioned, we check the weight distribution and determine the securing points. Chains, cables, stops, or other securing elements are used according to a scheme prepared for the specific cargo.
During low loader transport of oversized cargo, the securing system must prevent machinery or equipment from shifting in transit. The condition of the securing elements is checked again before departure.
The route is checked for road width, clearance under bridges and overpasses, junction layout, and other restrictions. Access to the loading and unloading points is also considered separately. The assessment covers the entire route, not only the approaches to the sites.
If the dimensions of the vehicle combination exceed the permitted limits, the required permits are arranged before departure. The need for escort vehicles or other support is determined based on the dimensions, weight, and specific features of the route.

The price of lowbed transport also depends on the selected platform, required permits, escort, and additional equipment. If the cargo parameters are approximate, the estimate will also be preliminary. The final amount is determined once the initial information has been confirmed.
To accelerate the planning process, it is advisable to provide not only the weight and dimensions but also photos of the machinery or equipment. For non-standard cargo, drawings, a support-point diagram, and information on whether the machinery can drive onto the platform independently can also be useful. Complete initial data helps identify possible restrictions during the planning stage and avoid changes immediately before the vehicle is dispatched.
Yes, provided the machinery can be loaded and secured safely on the platform. For non-self-propelled machinery, the loading method and any required auxiliary equipment are determined in advance. The condition of the machinery and the site conditions are also considered.
If required, loading and unloading operations involving suitable lifting equipment can be included when arranging transportation. The equipment specifications are determined based on the cargo weight, dimensions, and lifting points. The conditions and timing of the work are agreed before the transport vehicle arrives.
