November changes to truck traffic rules in Poland

In November of this year, temporary changes will be introduced in Poland for the movement of trucks weighing over 12 tons.

According to the regulation, two main periods have been defined for drivers when traffic will be restricted. The first period is connected with the celebration of Halloween on November 1: on this day, trucks are prohibited from moving from 8 am to 10 pm. The changes will come into effect on the evening of October 31 from 6 pm and will last until 10 pm.

The second period of restrictions coincides with Poland’s Independence Day. On this day, November 11, the traffic ban will be in effect from 8:00 to 22:00, and the day before, November 10, the restrictions will begin at 18:00 and last until 22:00. Some categories of transportation are exempt from these restrictions. First of all, this concerns the transportation of perishable products, animals, dairy products, grain and medicines. An exception is also made for empty trucks that are heading for loading or returning after unloading.
