In 2021, UZ indicators of average daily loading and transportation of goods increased

In 2021, the company managed to achieve an average daily cargo loading of 727.6 thousand tons, which is 2.1% more than last year, and 1.4% more than the data for the pre-epidemic 2019.

 Ukrzaliznytsia reported that only in December 2021, the average daily cargo load exceeded the data for December 2020 by 6% and amounted to 730.7 thousand tons.

In 2021, the indicators of cargo transportation by the country’s railways stabilized and improved. In January-December last year alone, 314.3 million tons of cargo were transported, which is 3% more than in 2020. In domestic traffic, transportation amounted to 149.8 million tons, 112.4 million tons of cargo went for export, 40.6 million tons for import, and transit amounted to 11.5 million tons of cargo, respectively.

 Most of all, during the reporting period, UZ transported iron and manganese ore (77.6 million tons), mineral building materials (65.7 million tons), coal (50.2 million tons) and grain cargo (33.7 million tons).
